Twitter Reading

Twitter is a very useful source in marketing and PR.  I did not know that it had so many resources and tools that could make so powerful until I did this reading.  I don't have a twitter account because it always seemed so complicated compared to facebook. After doing this reading, I can see how there is a lot to learn about twitter, but once you do figure it out it seems to be a much more valuable tool than facebook with several more options.  This reading also helped me understand how important it is to be professional on the internet.  Wether you are writing for yourself or a business, saying the wrong thing on the internet and be fatal to your career.

Assignment 5: photo editing

Using photoshop I first edited the color on this photo.  I change both color level and hue saturation.  I then made a duplicate layer of my edited photo and made it blurry. After making it blurry I wanted to erase just Ben, Hilarie and the tree.  I had to zoom in as much as I could and this took me about an hour to erase them and not any other part of the background.  When I was done I burned the edges all around the photo.

assignment 5: photo editing

Using photoshop I edited mostly the color.  I adjusted color levels and then I also adjusted hue saturation.   I tried using the clone stamp to change some of Hilarie's hair and I also used the clone stamp to cover some red spots on Ben's face.  When I was all done I used the burn tool and burned all around the photo.

LEARN HOW TO BE FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT
Invest Time, Assets and Experience

Dear Jay,

I am the public affairs representative for Cache Valley Area Investors Association.  We are a non-profit organization that teaches members of the community how to become financially independent.  Our meetings are based off of books such as Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Wealthy Barber and The Millionaire Next Door.  We want people to have a job because they love it, not because they have to bring in a paycheck.

Our meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of every month.  The first meeting is located at Logan City Chamber of Commerce and the third Thursday meeting is located at a restaurant.  All members of the community with a desire to learn about financial independence are welcome. “Most people do not believe they can become financially independent in their lifetime,” said President and Founder Preston Parker. "Financial independence is not about luck.  It is planned, it is orchestrated and it is executed.”

Cache Valley Area Investors Association (CVAIA) teaches people how to increase passive income.  CVAIA embraces the Law of Attraction, Law of Abundance, and Law of Exchange.  CVAIA began in August 2007 and now has members from many geographical locations and from all walks of life.  The members come together with the same belief: that education mitigates the risk of investing.

I would be pleased to arrange interviews for you and provide any additional information necessary.

Sincerely,

Hailey Potter

LEARN HOW TO BE FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT
Invest Time, Assets and Experience

LOGAN, UTAH- Cache Valley Area Investors Association (CVAIA) has created a name and a cause for itself in Logan. Their goal is to educating people so they can understand how to become financially independent and learn to love their job.

President and Founder of CVAIA, Preston Parker, opened the first chapter of CVAIA in August 2007.  This chapter currently has 80 members who meet on the first and third Thursday of every month. Any member of the community can join.  On the first Thursday of the month meetings are located at the City Chamber of Commerce and on the third Thursday meetings are held at a restaurant.

"Financial independence is not about luck.  It is planned, it is orchestrated and it is executed,” said President Preston Parker.

During meetings members discus finance and networking.  Professionals educated on finance and books such as Rich Dad, Poor Dad speak to members about income and expenses.  By attending the meetings people are able to learn the difference between earned income, passive income and expenses.  “Most people do not believe they can become financially independent in their lifetime,” said Parker.

“Did you know that the lack of information is the number one barrier to wealth,” said Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad.

If people learn the right mentality and approaches to investing, they can all be successful in what they desire.  People should be able to spend their time doing something they love, not just a job that provides and income.  Passive income largely makes this possible.  There are many organizations with the stated goal of helping people understand the relationship between assets, liabilities, income and expenses.  They practice the methods found in the ideologies of books including Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Wealthy Barber, The Millionaire Next Door, Atlas Shrugged, The Automatic Millionaire, and The Secret.
